Protagonists vs. Antagonists Meme:

Rules: Can be done in picture format, writing format, or journal format.

Question One: Usually a hero has at least one similiarity with their villain opposite. List up to three if you can.
1)1: Both are senshi (with all the similarities that entails)
2: Both are counted as members of the Aesir
3: Used to be best friends

Great. Question Two: Some differences.
1)1: Odin was born senshi, Loki wasn't
2: Odin was born into the Aesir, Loki was "adopted"
3: Odin supports the royal family and senshi government, Loki does not
2)1: Valkyry is reluctant to kill even her enemies, the Bloodwind Outlaw kills on a whim
2: Valkyry doesn't want even her own powers, the Bloodwind Outlaw is always seeking more power
3: Valkyry wishes to keep a low profile, while the Bloodwind Outlaw seeks all the attention he can get
3)1: Kieran is from Earth, Sahashra is not
2: Kieran has morals, Sahashra has none (that she'll admit to)
3: Kieran has friends, Sahashra has accomplices

Question Three: What would a civil conversation between the two sound like?
1) Odin: You just want to talk?
Loki: Yes.
Odin: You don't want to kill me?
Loki: I never said that.
2) TBO: Are you who I think you are?
Valkyry: No. Are you who I think you are?
TBO: Certainly.

TBO: I'm going to leave before either of us feels the need to kill the other.
Valkyry: Yes, please do.
3) Sahashra: So, you're from planet Earth?
Kieran: Yeah.
Sahashra: What's it like there?
Kieran: Wonderful. People have indoor plumbing, and microwave ovens, and you can travel without encountering hostile barbarians.
Sahashra: What's plumbing?

Question Four: Alright, sweet. Now their most violent conversation!
1) Loki: YOU BETRAYED ME FOR THAT SLUT!
Odin: YOU'RE INSANE AND DELUSIONAL!
Loki: YOU TRAPPED ME IN THAT GOD-FORSAKEN CRYSTAL FOR MILLENIA! HOW COULD YOU!
Odin: EASY! THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE DEATH SENTENCE!
2) TBO: I'm going to have to kill you now. But it's nothing personal.
Valkyry: And if I kill you first?
TBO: Highly unlikely, but I wouldn't hold it against you.
Valkyry: Good.
3) Kieran: You murdering, lying, theiving, piece of Seeker scum! I'll kill you and all of your Seeker buddies!
Sahashra: Geez, you'd think I killed your friends out of spite. You're way overreacting. Oh, and I'm going to kill you too.

Question Five: Ouch, damn. Now how about if they were forced to live together?
1) Loki: Does your girlfriend have to be here ALL the time?
Odin: Actually, she's my wife. So, yes, she does.
Loki: I miss my crystal prison.
2) Valkyry: I said dinner was at nine. It's eleven thirty, what are you doing home so late?
TBO: I was out massacring innocents and retarding my aging process by feeding on their lifeforce.
Valkyry: ... ... ... I'm going to bed. And I'm locking my door.
3) Kieran: This is creepy.
Sahashra: You mean living with someone who's killed so many of your friends?
Kieran: No, it's creepy that I can find someone who's killed so many of my friends hot.
Sahashra: ... ... ... I'm going to bed. And I'm locking my door.

Question 6: Will / has your protagonist kill / killed the antagonist, or vice-versa?
1) Neither of them are dead yet, but neither will stop until the other is. So Odin being the hero, yes, he will kill Loki.
2) Well, TBO is secretly scared stiff of Valkyry, so he'd be happy if he never had to fight her. Valkyry is openly frightened of TBO, and is looking forward to one of his many other foes one day catching and killing him.
3) Kieran would love to kill Sahashra for revenge. Sahashra would kill him as soon as look at him, but just for his cards (nothing personal). Kieran is the hero and I don't kill off my heroes, and I'm not going to spoil Sahashra's fate for you.

Question 7: Does your antagonist have any hobbies?
1) Finding ways to break into places and get around defenses. Also building up his own fortifications.
2) Does trying to prevent your own aging count as a hobby?
3) Reading and hunting (most people on her planet can't read)

Question 8: Do your protagonist and antagonist have themesongs? If so, what are they?
1) Um, no, but if I wanted I could probably find one
2) Antagonist, no. Protagonist, "Breakaway" by Kelly Clarkson
3) No, but again, I could find one if I wanted.

Question 8: Do you think if their situations were switched, things would be different?
1) Even in Odin's position, Loki would never truly support the senshi government, but he might not have actively rebelled against it. In Loki's position, Odin would angst and mope. A lot. Eventually, he'd either learn to move on, or snap and become just like Loki.
2) Valkyry in TBO's position would probably just give up and die. TBO in Valkyry's position would never have let himself get in Valkyry's position, and would instead use Valkyry's vast powers to attempt to take over the world.
3) Sahashra is very much a product of the way she was raised. Raised on Earth as Kieran had been, she would have turned out a normal, highly intelligent, very successful woman. Similarly, Kieran raised as Sahashra was would probably have a complete disregard for human life, and care nothing for friends, instead just devoting his life to following orders (which would involve killing a lot of people). Though it's doubtful he'd ever be as good at it as Sahashra.

Question 9: Do you associate them with any animals?
1) Odin: He's probably closest to a mother bear, caring most of the time, and completely out of control and dangerous when the things he loves are threatened.
Loki: A hardworking ant or termite. Except he stole Superman's powers and doesn't like his colony.
2) Valkyry: A skittish stray cat.
The Bloodwind Outlaw: A corrupt politician (it counts as an animal. Remember, politics: from poly-meaning many, and tics-blood sucking insects)
3) Kieran: I can't really think of anything. Perhaps some sort of bird?
Sahashra: A clever and stealthy (not to mention fast) cheetah.

Question 10: What are the greatest Sins (by that we mean Seven Deadlies: Pride, Envy, Wrath, Gluttany, Lust, Sloth, Greed) of your protagonist and antagonist?
1) Odin: I guess Pride
Loki: Wrath. Definately Wrath.
2) Valkyry: Envy. She's very Envious of normal people.
TBO: Pride. He's determined not to lose to time, for crying out loud.
3) Kieran: Hmm, though. He has Earth Envy, (to the point one could say he Lusts after the comforts of a modern world) but being used to modern Earth, he is somewhat Slothful.
Sahashra: She was raised specifically to value Greed and Pride, so they probably tie.

Question 11: Update them to modern times if they're not already. Who are they now?
NOTE: I'm changing this to update them to modern non-magical times.
1) Odin is somewhat reluctantly in charge of a large and powerful corporation, but he's very good at it. Loki is a terrorist, but absolutely brilliant.
2) Valkyry would join a circus, where she can use a false name, wear enough make-up so no one will ever recognize her, and in general ignore real life. TBO would be a highly corrupt politian, but very careful and intelligent.
3) Kieran would be a normal, completely average college student. Sahashra would be a brilliant but ruthless woman of corperate America, making millions, the Vice-President of her company and fanatically loyal to her CEO.

Question 12: Favored method of transportation for the protagonist and antagonist?
1) Odin: Walking, driving, roof-jumping (meaning using super powers to leap from rooftop to rooftop)
Loki: Prefers to stay where he is and allow thing to come to him, letting others go out to do tasks for him.
2) Valkyry: She loves her motorcycle. But she also loves airplanes, trains, and speedboats. Basically she loves to go fast, and loves to be able to see scenery.
TBO: Running, jumping, flying, ect. at speeds that make it appear he simply teleported away.
3) Kieran: Cars, or airplanes for long distances.
Sahashra: A large caravan, where she can ride rather than walk and chat with and steal from the others traveling with her.

Question 13: Favored weapon(s) of choice?
1) Odin: His spear, Gungir.
Loki: Whatever he can use, though he is partial to javelins.
2) Valkyry: She's an equal opportunity weapon user.
TBO: Seeing as he's a shapeshifter, he doesn't see much need for conventional weapons.
3) Kieran: He's not really much of a fighter, but he likes wind-based magic.
Sahashra: Weapons that she can hide on herself; knives, darts, poison, and the like.

And finally, question 14: Is a resolution ever possible?
1) Sure, but it will involve one of them dying. Does that count?
2) No. TBO has become so numb to killing and evil that reform is impossible, and Valkyry will never forgive him for the evil he's done.
3) If Sahashra could be forced away from the Seekers and into normal society, it's possible she could reform. But as she is now, she's unlikely to even listen to other points of view.
